The Sazerac, closely related to the Old Fashioned, is a cocktail which has stood the test of time for nearly two hundred years. Crowned the official cocktail of New Orleans in 2008, this longstanding whiskey cocktail is not for the faint-hearted.
Traditionally made with Absinthe, Rye Whiskey and Cognac, this cocktail is quite a booze-heavy customer. We’ve worked hard on our flavour pockets to make them blend in perfectly with the strong flavours in the classic Sazerac.

Ingredients:
65ml Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal Cognac Infused with DJs Summer Equinox (infuse for 10 minutes)
10ml Monin Gomme Syrup
2 drops of Absinthe
2 drops of hibiscus Bitters
Garnish: Lemon Peel
Glass: Half Martini
Ice: Cubes For Stirring
Method: In the glass, place the absinthe and fill this up with ice, this will
“coat the glass with the flavours”. In the mixing glass add the sugar, Cognac and 2 drops of Absinthe, add ice cubes and still until the desired dilution. Empty the rocks glass previously prepared, and fine strain the cocktail into the glass.
